Sign Up NOW for one of the best Wildland Fire Training Opportunities

15 YEARS and Still Going Strong
My friends Larry C and Richard T probably never envisioned how successful and how much of a respected training opportunity the Virginia Interagency Wildland Fire Training Academy would become. It all started back in 1999 in dusty old barracks and mess kitchens at Fort Pickett. That first year we saw nearly 250 students come together for a training opportunity unlike any previously offered in Virginia. Almost 4,000 students have advanced their skills and abilities at this event. It IS by far the best value for your training dollars.

Numerous wildland firefighter training courses are offered during this week-long academy, operated under an incident command system to simulate the operational organization of a wildland fire response incident. In addition to teaching firefighters how to fight wildland fires, the academy also provided an opportunity for experienced firefighters to serve in leadership roles.
